Jetbet Blog betting expert Patrick is here with his predictions after a strong weekend that saw six correct results and four exact scores. With seven matches live on Jetbet blog this weekend, here’s the full round-up of predictions and betting angles across the Premier League.
Liverpool vs Nottingham Forest, Saturday 12:30pm

Anfield usually promises goals given Liverpool’s attacking identity under Andoni Iraola, but Forest simply haven’t shown enough attacking output to justify backing a high-scoring affair. They’ve failed to score in both matches against Leeds so far, generating just 1.4 expected goals across 180 minutes. Head coach Oliver Glasner has pointed to the scale of the rebuild he inherited and the limited time available to implement his ideas, and there’s a notable historical trend to back this up Glasner’s teams have failed to score in four of their five previous meetings with Iraola’s sides.
Score prediction: 2-0 | Best bet: Under 2.5 goals
Bournemouth vs Everton, Saturday 3pm

Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall continues to look like a genuine goal threat in Everton’s advanced No.10 role, scoring against Crystal Palace with a well-taken left-footed finish after arriving in the box, and following it up with seven shots in a midweek win over Preston. Though that fixture came against Championship opposition, it reinforced a clear pattern Dewsbury-Hall has been given licence to attack, finding pockets between midfield and defence alongside Thierno Barry rather than simply making the occasional late run. Bournemouth should offer similar opportunities.
Score prediction: 1-1
Coventry vs Hull, Saturday 3pm

Games between two newly-promoted sides this early in a season tend to produce goals over 1.5 goals have been scored in 35 of the last 36 such fixtures. History also favours the home side, with the last five newly-promoted teams winning their first home game of the season. However, Coventry have defensive issues to address after conceding three to Arsenal on the opening weekend and two more in the Carabao Cup at Plymouth.
Hull, by contrast, could hardly have started better after stunning Manchester United 2-0 last weekend, showing genuine aggression, organisation and set-piece threat. A notable betting trend adds weight to backing them a level stake on Hull whenever they’ve started as underdogs bigger than 2/1 since last season would have returned solid profit, including away wins at Millwall (twice), Middlesbrough, and last weekend’s win over United. The safer route may be backing both teams to score and over 2.5 goals rather than picking a winner outright.
Score prediction: 2-2
Tottenham vs Newcastle United, Saturday 5:30pm

Spurs’ 3-0 defeat at Brentford was genuinely poor, with the side looking disjointed, off the pace physically, and vulnerable defensively head coach Roberto De Zerbi admitted afterward his side isn’t yet functioning as a cohesive unit. Still, there’s reason for optimism in the immediate aftermath: De Zerbi has an excellent record in matches directly following heavy defeats, winning eight of his last eleven such fixtures with his teams averaging 2.1 goals.
There were mitigating factors at Brentford too five competitive debutants started, key players Micky van de Ven and Pedro Porro were unavailable, and several others returned late from the World Cup or had disrupted pre-seasons. With key players now returning to the squad, this has the makings of a classic reaction game for De Zerbi’s side.
Score prediction: 2-1
Chelsea vs Brighton, Sunday 2pm

Chelsea may currently have the most exciting attack in the Premier League, underlined by their win at Fulham in midweek. Head coach Xabi Alonso deployed Cole Palmer and Morgan Rogers just behind Joao Pedro, with the trio combining for all three Chelsea goals a setup Alonso has described as central to his vision for the team.
The flip side is defensive vulnerability, with Robert Sanchez making another costly error and Fulham finding real opportunities against an aggressive, sometimes exposed Chelsea shape. Given how consistently Chelsea’s matches are producing goals at both ends, backing over 2.5 goals and both teams to score looks like a sound approach to follow in the weeks ahead.
Score prediction: 3-1 | Best bet: Over 2.5 goals and both teams to score
Leeds vs Brentford, Sunday 2pm

Brentford were the standout attacking side of the opening weekend, registering 26 shots and an expected goals total of 3.87 the highest of any team. But their away form under Keith Andrews has been far more modest, averaging just 1.15 goals per game on the road, including a goalless, largely uneventful draw in this exact fixture last season. Given both sides’ tendencies in this matchup, a cagier, lower-scoring affair looks likely again.
Score prediction: 1-1
Sunderland vs Fulham, Sunday 2pm

While Cole Palmer rightly took the headlines from Fulham’s 3-2 defeat to Chelsea, teenager Josh King also caught the eye, scoring Fulham’s opener and finishing with three shots, two on target, while looking a consistent threat in transition. King appears to be developing into a genuine primary attacking outlet for Fulham rather than simply an emerging talent making occasional contributions, and the betting market may not yet fully reflect that shift.
Score prediction: 1-1
Manchester United vs Ipswich, Sunday 4:30pm

United’s underlying numbers from their opening-weekend defeat to Hull are concerning they won just 42 per cent of their duels, the lowest figure recorded by any team on the opening weekend, and have conceded 20 Premier League goals in 18 matches since Michael Carrick took permanent charge, with 10 of those coming from set pieces. Only Bournemouth and Leeds have conceded a higher proportion of their goals from dead-ball situations over that period, and Hull exploited exactly that weakness in their win at Old Trafford.
Ipswich defender Dara O’Shea, who serves as the club’s primary first-contact man at set pieces, has averaged a strong 0.95 shots per 90 minutes over the past year a promising number given United’s evident struggles in this area.
Score prediction: 2-1 | Best bet: Dara O’Shea to have 1+ shots
Aston Villa vs Arsenal, Monday 8pm

New Arsenal signing Christos Tzolis has made an immediate impression, playing with real directness and fearlessness on his Premier League debut against Coventry. He finished that match with four shots and eight touches in the opposition box more than any other Arsenal player in either category making him an interesting option to score again in a match Arsenal are expected to win.
Villa full-back Matty Cash, who picked up 12 bookings last season, looks likely to be tasked with marking Tzolis a potentially uncomfortable assignment given the Greek winger’s strong record of drawing fouls and cards during his time at Club Brugge, averaging a card roughly every 206 minutes of opposition play.
