Vickery suggested a move to Arsenal could offer a compelling narrative in its own right the chance to be part of the club’s first Champions League campaign in the current era and floated the possibility that, depending on contract terms, a spell at Arsenal could eventually serve as a stepping stone toward Barcelona further down the line. He also noted that Atletico’s supporters would likely welcome Alvarez back warmly if his future ultimately remains at the club, describing him as an exceptional forward with the instincts of a midfielder.
